The MLC Manual consists of ten chapters, eight written by Dr. Krzysztof Ostaszewski and two written by Dr. Ewa Kubicka. The 2010 Edition has 13 practice examinations, all with complete solutions, one more than the previous edition.

Authors biographies
Dr. Krzysztof Ostaszewski is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst, Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a Chartered Financial Analyst. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Washington. He is the Actuarial Program Director and Professor of Mathematics at Illinois State University. He has taught actuarial science at Illinois State University, Washington University in St. Louis, University of Ulm in Germany, New England Actuarial Seminars, Actex Professional Development Seminar, University of Louisville, and the Actuarial Summer School in Poland. Dr. Ewa Kubicka is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries. She holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Western Michigan University. She is a Professor of Mathematics, Actuarial Program Director, and Internship Director at the University of Louisville. She has taught actuarial science classes at the University of Louisville.
